Dental crowns fit over injured, discoloured , heavily filled or cracked teeth protecting them from further damage and restoring their natural shape and colour. Dental bridges replace missing teeth.
Several appointments are needed.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge consists of a false tooth that is fused between two crowns.
It fills in the area left by a missing tooth.
The two crowns holding it in place are attached onto the teeth on each side of the false tooth.
Contrary to dentures it can't be taken out of the mouth.
Dental bridges can last ten years or more.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns completely cover the tooth surface.
They give the tooth added strength and stability.
The dentist will take an impression of the tooth during the first visit.
Temporary crowns are placed to protect the teeth while customised restoration is being made.
